Poppy Goffin have been named to the ICCAC Div. I women’s all-region Iowa Central’s soccer team.
“I’m very grateful for the fitness plan I completed at QMC, preseason was very tough and we trained 3 times a day often burning up to 3500 calories per day.
I gained captaincy as a freshman which was extremely unexpected. I played every minute of every match and I received league honours and made the first team all-region team. This is when 11 girls are picked as the best players in the conference.
Myself and another player from my team made the honours list.
I have received interest from other coaches in very good 4 year schools, but I am going to stay at Iowa central for another year to groove my skills and hopefully receive some more good scholarship offers.
My original scholarship from Iowa was good but my coach has just made it better after my performances this season, which my parents are extremely happy about.” – Poppy Goffin
