Well done to our Film Study Students!!
A group of first and second year A Level Film Studies students took part in the Plymouth College of Arts 72hr Film Challenge this weekend…and won!
The students, Crystal Fraser, Joe Hall, Ryan Baker, Ryan May-Miller, Tommy Damiral, Sam Mcleod and Rhiann Gilman, were tasked with creating a 7minute film, from scratch, with the title ‘The Cure’, theme ‘festive’, prop ‘present box’ and a line of dialogue ‘ What’s in the box?’.
Our students devised and filmed everything on Friday. Tommy and Ryan MM, despite both having part time jobs at the weekend, worked through the night to complete their final edits in time for Monday’s deadline.
The winner was announced last night via a Youtube Live of the event and the students have won the college a GoPro 10, paid entry into other film festivals, tickets to the cinema and a consultation with a filmmaking lecturer from Plymouth.
