Extra-curricular enrichment opportunities
The Health and Social Care Department offers various extra-curricular opportunities to students to further their in classroom learning. Recently, QMC launched a new summer volunteering programme in collaboration with Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, allowing students the chance to gain hands-on experience working across various hospital wards.
We have also recently updated our Health and Social Care simulation room, which includes a GP consultation room and an older person’s living space. This provides an immersive, ‘real life’ learning environment for our students.
